This is not about Gotye and that haunting song. This is literally about somebody that you should know.
It’s this guy. You’ve probably heard of him at least once or twice. He’s tried to catch your attention. He’s asked you many questions. Why nurses flee from the country, but you wouldn’t listen. Why we’re running out of teachers, but you didn’t pay any mind. Why parents leave their children to care for somebody else’s, but you flipped the channel. Why you won’t lend him four minutes of your time, but you switched to that Gotye song.
He’s tried to educate you on the plight of homosexuals, the strife of the middle class, and the irony of capitalism. You, however, could never comprehend his resilience and patriotism.
