Gloc-9 loves collaborations. Most of his recent tracks and albums include more collaboration tracks than solo tracks, and we really, really like it. This is an artist who understands the value of music by exploring and experimenting with artists from other genres. Hip-hop on hip-hop with Syke collabs, Hip-hop on rock with Rico Blanco and Ebe Dancel, Hip-hop on pop with his most recent single Takipsilim with Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez. And those are just a few of a long list he has.
That Regine Velasquez collab is something else though. While others would probably be scared of collaborating with no less than the country’s most popular and most incredible singer, he still took on the challenge. Having that opportunity is one hell of a good thing too. Not everyone in this world would have the chance to even speak with the huge artist Regine Velasquez is, all the more work with her.
The best part about it is that Gloc-9 didn’t drown in Regine’s singing voice. He still showcased his own talent and managed to keep the spotlight on himself, in a good way, of course.
